Well, it's a nice effort. But. I don't think most people realize the size of the Chinese mfg. sector. For instance; one (1) factory has over 200,000 people working and living there. They slaughter over 3,000 pigs a day for the meals that they provide the workers. And that's just one factory. There are thousands more. With a population of over a billion people, they can always provide the lowest labor costs. And don't forget; the Chinese don't have any stores here. They don't sell us anything. There are no Chinese department stores in the US, the stores that they sell to are all multinationals and they will ignore any movement to "Buy American'. You may remember that Wal*Mart tried that tactic some years ago. Not any more. They dropped it quietly. Google Wal*mart China and take a look at their China headquarters building. Impressive. IBM has one as well. And so does GM.
The big retailers (all multinationals) have to change how they buy and it ain't going to happen. And that's who you need to blame...

BUT it is a valient effort on the author of this blog. Being conscientious of our spending power is a powerful and important tool.
